A love for art runs in the family of Stefanie Haslberger aka Casiegraphics. Especially her grandfather plays an influential role: As part of the informal art movement of the 1950s through to the 1990s his works still influence Stefanie’s illustration today.

Born in Munich, she studied Communication Design in Augsburg and Illustration at the London College of Communication. Since her graduation Stefanie Haslberger has been working as a freelance illustrator for many international clients in London and Munich. Her works are exhibited in London, Paris, Sydney, San Francisco and Miami. She loves attending creative meetups like Pictoplasma, OFFF BCN or itsnicethat Tuesdays, to exchange ideas with other creative artists.

Stefanie predominantly creates digital illustrations. – „To get into a creative mood I like to meditate before work and listen to chill out music.”

After extensive research she sketches out her ideas, thumbnails and keywords in pencil. This collection gets scanned in and refined on her iPad. Via Creative Cloud her designs end up on the iMac and get finalized in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Casiegraphics’ unique style is characterized by bright colours and geometric, almost mosaic-like shapes.

The vegan illustrator pays special attention to the plant and animal kingdom. You can often find Stefanie Haslberger on the lookout for new ideas, camera in hand, walking through zoos and aquariums. – „Crucial for animal illustration is the balance between complex patterns and colours, secondly the eyes, the look of the animal, through which it conveys emotion. These details make or break the whole image.“ – Through her work the illustrator wants to raise awareness and empathy for nature and all its living things.

In 2015 Stefanie Haslberger was invited by fashion brand AIGLE to illustrate their new spring/summer collection. She created detailed animal motifs for various articles of clothing and fashion accessoires in her distinctive Casiegraphics style.

In addition, Stefanie likes to create work in a street art style and paints large walls or interior spaces – her illustrations draw you in, especially in large formats!

To experiment even more with new digital techniques, workshops for Cinema 4D and After Effects are currently high on Stefanie Haslberger’s agenda.
