The Artina font is based on Petra Wöhrmann's earlier free poster project "Faust". She wrote the words on these 30 posters with her Asian brush in bold, quick strokes, then scanned and vectorized them. Step by step these letters in glyphs became their first own font. In addition, Petra has created other alternative upper and lower case letters, as well as two sets of numbers, many ligatures and decorative elements.
Artina isn't quite finished yet, but it's already a cheeky display font. All letters have at least four alternate letters to work with any other glyph. Of course, that takes time.
But Artina can still be admired here!
